CAATCH Peer Mentorship

AAPI - Focused Peer Consultation Group

Who's CAATCH?

The Community of Asian American Therapists in Chicagoland  (CAATCH) welcomes AAPI (Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders) clinicians of all backgrounds and practice orientations to explore different aspects of our profession, including the topics we can all relate to but seldomly share with others.

Why Join Our Group?

In addition to providing case consultation and professional development, the peer consultation group offers a safe space to process the personal side of being a therapist (ie countertransference).
Through building self-awareness and emotional resilience, we can maximize the effectiveness and impact of our work with clients.
We all need a reminder that it’s ok to be human.

No, the group is scheduled to last 85 minutes (1 hour, 25 minutes), instead of a whole 90 minutes, to accommodate for clinicians who have clients scheduled afterwards.
We have the flexibility to meet up to 90 minutes if we need to wrap up.
This is a repeating event, so the Zoom link is always accessible on your calendar invite.
Biyang generally sends a reminder before every session so that you don’t have to flip through old emails to find the link.
The group is currently for fully-licensed clinicians.
CAATCH is always expanding its range of mentorship services to its members.

Not this group.  This is a peer consultation group, which is a collaborative setting where all members are contributing and supporting one another. There is not a supervisor-supervisee relationship.
However, if you are a mental health provider and want to work with Biyang for clinical consultation (1:1 or group), this is a different service. Contact her directly for next steps.
