Illinois — and Chicago in particular — has a professional culture that rewards forward motion. Our clients here are often people who have been moving forward very effectively for a long time and have arrived at a point where something internal hasn’t kept pace. The work starts there.

Our Clients

Our clients in Illinois tend to arrive at this work not because things have fallen apart, but because something that was once working has quietly stopped fitting.

The work is designed for that moment — not crisis management, but genuine examination of what’s underneath.

We provide telehealth psychotherapy throughout Illinois, working with professionals, founders, managers, and high-performing individuals who are navigating the space between external competence and internal alignment.

Our Top Specialties

We work with the full range of what high-performing professionals in Illinois bring —

• Identity and life transitions

• Career and leadership shifts

• Relationship dynamics

• Multicultural and cross-cultural experience

• Burnout

• The specific internal cost of sustained external performance

Our Approach

Our clinician—Biyang Wang, LCSW—completed both her MSW and her advanced psychodynamic fellowship at the University of Chicago. Her training is grounded in UChicago’s psychodynamic tradition, which shapes how she works with every client: serious, rigorous, and genuinely engaged with what’s actually happening rather than what’s easiest to address.

The work is about going underneath the surface: understanding the narratives driving the experience, the identity structures that made success possible and may now be creating distance from what someone genuinely wants, and the patterns that persist not because people don’t know better but because knowing isn’t the same as being able to change.
